CAST BIOS:

Aaron Martin (Octave):
Aaron received a B.F.A in performance from Utah State University in 2000. After graduation he has drifted all over the country, first touring with Missoula Children's Theatre and directing for Unicorn Children's Theatre. In Philadelphia, he suffered dinner theatre and was active with Stagecrafters Theatre Group. This is Aaron's second show since coming to Portland and he would like to say cha, cha, cha to Chiquita.

Amy Jo McCarville (Sylvestre):
After receiving a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Amy Jo was active there with E.M.U. Theatre collective and was also a founding member and singer/songwriter for God's favorite radical country band, the "Roundups". In the fateful summer of '02, she got hitched and headed west to attend Dell'Arte School of Physical Theatre. Since moving to Portland, she has worked as a designer with Hand2Mouth theatre, performed in "A Kristmus Karel" AND is thrilled to be working with Radiant Theatre in this production.

Beth M. Peterson (Zerbinette):
Beth has been acting since the tender age of 11 when she entered the world of theatre as the princess in a 4-H melodrama. Most recently, she has attended Portland Actor's Conservatory. Across the US, she has played Jessica in Rest Assured, Emilie in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and the First Watch in Much Ado About Nothing. Beth was born and partially raised in the lovely state of Wisconsin. Se firmly believes in the importance of cheese, and will speak in a Wisconsin accent for the price of a dirty martini. She thanks her friends and family for their endless support and constant jeers.

Christopher Pryor (Leander):
Chris is pleased to make his professional debut with Radiant Theatre. You probably did not see him in various Reed College performances of The Zoo Story and The Idiot Machine. You also would not have seen him in the improvised comedy troupe “F. Rodriguez & The Daughters of the Revolution” at the Brody Theatre. Finally, though, you get to see him tonight. Thanks to Molly & Casey for their unwavering loyalty and support.

Izzakate McGowan (Gendarme):
Izzakate has been acting since she could talk. She was always involved in school plays. At about age eight, she stated taking acting classes after school and during the summer. At the art middle school she currently attends, she has had many opportunities to advance her acting skills and has taken them all. Through Shakespeare, Commedia and Improv classes, acting has become Izzakate’s favorite form of expression, topping dance, music and the visual arts.

Ken Moore (Geronte):
This is Ken’s first time on a Portland stage. He lives in Yamhill and has been part of The Gallery Players in McMinnville for the last 10years. He has also performed in plays at the Pentacle Theater in Salem including The Price. One of the favorite roles he played was The Creature in the world premiere of Frankenstein the Musical. He came alive singing!

Ladawn Sheffeld (Hyacinth):
This is Ladawn's first production with Radiant Theatre. She was most recently seen in Portland in Ah! Wilderness at Lakewood Theatre in the part of Muriel. She recently completed an acting internship with the Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Festival in Iowa City, Iowa where she performed in A Midsummer Night's Dream as Moth. Past productions include The Elephant Man and Our Town at Riverside Theatre and Picasso at Lapin Agille at Theatre Cedar Rapids.

Madeline Stanford (Argante):
Madeleine Sanford was last seen in Toad City’s Rumi. Before that, she performed with Liminal as Helen in 3 plays, 5 Lives and as part of the ensemble for the Brecht/Weill opera Seven Deadly Sins. She has also worked with defunkt theatre, as Phaedra in Sarah Kane's Phaedra's Love and an ensemble member of Three Mutants. Her only previous mask work was as the Ghost in Nod/Dragonmaker's production of Hoichi the Earless, performed in an unheated loft theatre so cold that we served the audience free sake and hot bread so they wouldn't mind as much.

Polly Conway (Norine):
Toyseller by day, diva by night, Polly received her BA in acting at San Francisco State University in 2001, and is overjoyed to be able to share the magic of both Moliere and Bill Irwin with audiences tonight! Some of her favorite past roles include Maggie in Dancing at Lughnasa, Mary in Our Country's Good, and Flossie in Messiah in America. In her spare time, Polly enjoys swinging from a trapeze and continuing her search for the perfect bacon cheeseburger. She would like to thank Gwynne, Joel, and her Finnegan's family.

Tobias Lawrence (Scapin):
Tobias is thrilled to be working on his first Radiant Theatre Production. He has recently worked with Hand2mouth Theater as physical trainer/Actor on "Jerusalem". After two years with the circus in America Tobias studied with clown and mask-maker Torbjorn Alstrom in Sweden. He holds degrees from Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Clown College and The Dell'Arte school of Physical Theater. Tobias would like to thank his close family of Portland friends for all their love and support.
